On October 2 meet a plucky flock of back yard chickens!

Urban hen keeping is a growing trend across North America as people find more value in knowing where their food came from.  These chickens each produce one egg every day; that’s a lot of quiche!  In exchange, they are given wholesome food, room to roam and all the grubs they could ask for.

Plus they are oh so cute!

Thursday September 18 celebrates healthy living at the UpTown Market.

The Canadian National Institute for the Blind will be on hand with healthy eating ideas and SAMPLES!  plus, the great Yoginis from Fearless Heart Yoga are coming for a demonstration at 5pm. There will also be games from the heart and stroke foundation so the kids can stay active.

The UpTown Market is great for the body and great for the spirit this week and every week!

This week is a very big week at the market, because the Mane Attraction petting zoo will be on site with barn yard critters for your whole family.

Meet real live sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, donkeys and more!

Our band this week is Birch, playing classic rock imagined with powerful female vocals and an energized acoustic sound.
